Nicole's May Day Bridal Shower
Saturday May 1st, I attended Nicole's Bridal Shower. It was at the Oak Room in Bartlett and turned out great. It was so nice seeing some of the girls from high school and junior high. Nicole and I have been friends since high school. Our lockers were just a couple away from each other and we turned out to be great friends because of it.
She is marrying Bobby whom she has known since before preschool... they had a picture at the party to prove it! Even so, they never spoke till years after college. Strange how life works!
Nicole's mom forced her to wear a plastic tiara that flashed as Nicole doesn't like being the center of attention. She was a great sport about it.
I couldn't resist not taking picture of this HUGE cannoli that held a bunch of baby cannoli.
And finally I was so excited that Nicole's mom let me keep one of the centerpieces... Sunflowers are turning out to be one of my favorites.
Green Green Green!
Now that the sod is in, it's time for a patio. So we had Dave, a friend of mines father in law come out and take a look. Of course there are so many choices, and so many prices. He should be getting back to us by the end of the day Monday with an estimate. I have no clue how much something like that would cost. We wish that the patio could have been put in before the grass, but things don't always work as planned. When you come home to find bulldozers and a bunch of guys digging in your backyard, you don't tell them to stop.
Other buys for the new home. One of those things to reel in the hose... and lots of sprinklers, (can't wait for the water bill this month). Things we are looking for: storm door for the front door and would you guess, a lawnmower.
P.S. On another note, how bout my new Adidas shoes from DSW here... hot pink and grey!!!

Andrea's 27th Birthday
We helped Andrea celebrate her 27th birthday this past weekend at Wildfire!! It was absolutely delicious. I had calamari for an appetizer and prime rib for dinner. Awesome!!! I think Andrea had a great time with all her special guests, and something tells me it will be a birthday for her to remember!
Here's my classy friend all dressed up playing ski ball at Gameworks afterward!!!!
Gotta love the birthday girl with all those tickets!!!!
Happy Birthday Andrea!

Housewarming
Sunday when I woke up, there were foot prints on our carpets and all around our house. In every little corner, on every single stair, evidence that someone had been there. There were empty cups, empty beer bottles, cakes, and cookies everywhere. Flowers however filled each room... tulips, daffodils, and roses. The dishes weren't done. The garbage cans filled to the top. But there was a beauty in all of this. This was because friends and family filled our home the night before with laughter, with love, and with all things good. Our housewarming party was a success.
Posted below are only a few pictures from the night.
Little Charlie was pooped when the night was over.
